Boon Thong had endured years of hardship before being rescued by the incredible team at BLES, founded by Katherine Connor. There, she finally experienced peace, freedom, and compassion. But what no one expected was the deep, inseparable bond she would form with a once-homeless dog named Pancake.

Despite their differences, Boon Thong and Pancake became best friends. And when the time came for Boon Thong to say goodbye, Pancake never left her side.

For nine hours, Pancake lay next to Boon Thong, offering silent comfort, loyalty, and love — staying until her very last breath. Alongside Katherine, Pancake made sure her friend didn’t face the end alone.
