Waffle Sizzli, a stray pit bull with a heart full of love, spent months at the Richmond Animal Care and Control (RACC) shelter. While other dogs came and went, Waffle stayed — quietly cuddling with the soft toys that became her comfort and joy.

Her favorite pastime? Carrying her beloved stuffed animals everywhere — even outside for potty breaks. One by one, she moved her toys into the office of the RACC director, creating her own cozy world. Her collection grew, and so did her bond with these silent companions who helped her through the hardest times.

She wasn’t interested in playing tug-of-war or roughhousing with the other dogs. She simply wanted to show off her soft treasures with quiet pride. After three long months, a kind soul saw her video and was touched by her gentle spirit. Today, Waffle finally has her forever home — and, of course, her entire family of stuffies went with her.
