In scorching Florida heat, a malnourished and dehydrated dog named Liam was found tied tightly to a pole. Left alone with no food, water, or shelter, his tiny frame showed signs of severe neglect. But in his moment of despair, he did something unforgettable—he lifted his paw toward Officer Angela Laurella, as if to say, “Please help me.”

Officer Laurella responded with compassion and urgency. She untied Liam and gently took him into care. Thanks to the support of the rescue group 100+ Abandoned Dogs of Everglades Florida, Liam was taken to the vet and placed in a foster home where he is now recovering, slowly gaining strength and trust.
